Every Thursday evening from July through early August, Panama City Beach's beloved Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater comes alive with free live music as part of the city's Summer Concert Series. Running from 7-9 PM, each show features a different local or regional act playing everything from funk and R&B to soul, rock, and Gulf Coast sounds — all under the open sky with families, couples, and music lovers spread out on blankets and lawn chairs.
Aaron Bessant Park is a beautiful lagoon-side green space in the heart of Panama City Beach, just minutes from the Gulf. The amphitheater has a grassy lawn perfect for blankets, and the relaxed, bring-your-cooler vibe makes this one of the most welcoming free events on the Florida Panhandle. Leashed pets are welcome, and local food vendors are often on-site.
Panama City Beach is about an hour's drive from Destin and Miramar Beach — making this an easy and rewarding day trip for a Thursday evening out. Get there early to stake your spot on the lawn, and stay until the last song fades into the warm Florida night.
